Live Review: Spookyland 'The Silly Fucking Thing' (Official Video)

Sydney artist Spookyland has just released his clip to his single, 'The Silly Fucking Thing'.

Sydney songwriter Marcus Gordon, his brother Liam and two pals Nath Mansfield and Nic Malouf make up folk-rock outfit SPOOKYLAND.

With the announcement of their forthcoming Rock And Roll Weakling EP to be available in the next coming months via Monday Records, the group have dropped its track 'The Silly Fucking Thing' in a visual medium.

Complimenting the heart-wrenching vocals of Marcus Gordon's delivery sees the artist visually execute feelings of heartbreak and loss with enormous passion, inviting his audience to enter a very emotional, personal domain. With a narrative at play documenting a man nostalgically flash back of a love that he once felt and shared with a female beauty, we watch the protagonist push himself into a physical distraction to make him feel more confident in his appearance as a means of rebuilding his self-esteem.

As the clip draws to a close, we see the two interact once more, though in a way that both we and the male character did not expect. As a result, this finale both answers to questions we had conjured in response to what had happened throughout the clip, as well as establish new ones in regards to how 'The Silly Fucking Thing' concluded.
