With Paradise Music Festival now being less than a month away, we asked the legends behind the festival to give us a bit of a rundown on their picks.
Quickly becoming one of Australia's most loved festivals, PARADISE MUSIC FESTIVAL is just around the corner, and once again boasts a lineup jam packed with carefully curated artists to bring punters a unique musical experience they probably haven't had before.
Hand picking artists that will bring something special and different to the festival, Paradise have once again shown off their knack for just knowing really solid acts, and are gearing up to put on yet another out of this world weekend come the end of November.
Because we are just so excited to head along ourselves, we wanted to know a little bit more about the acts we will be catching on the weekend. So, of course, who better to ask than the booking agent of the event? Picking just 10 tracks from the plethora of outstanding artists on the bill, the booker behind this lineup has given us a little insight into who they're looking forward to, who you can't miss, and who holds a special place in their heart.

Kirkis 'Mirror'
Kirkis are one of my favourite bands in Melbourne. Their live shows are something truly amazing. One of my fondest memories of Paradise to date was watching them close the main stage last year at Paradise 2014 - a little surreal looking back at it now. Absolutely can’t wait to see them at Paradise once again.
Oslow 'Desert Dog Road'
I’m a huge fan-boy of Oslow, This track has the perfect amount of angst, twangy guitars and yell-along chorus lines, touching upon the sounds of late 90’s/early thousands emo. One of my top picks for Paradise 2015.
Friendships & Null '2 Reel'
An oldie by two Clubland favourites - this song really get’s me every time I hear it; that vocal sample and acid lead are tooooo much. Doubt we’ll be hearing this in Clubland this year but always fun to reminisce.
Black Cab 'Sexy Polizei'
Black Cab are an amazing mix of ‘80s electro/electropunk, with elements of more contemporary techno/house. Their latest album ‘Games of the XX1 Olympiad’ is brilliant - highly recommend ‘Sexy Polizei’ and ‘Supermädchen’. Can’t wait to hear reverb through the mountain.
Deer 'Cry for Help'
A super cool new track from my good friend Deer. Tom (Deer) is an amazingly talented producer, with huge things to come. Really exciting to hear some of his new stuff, including a super-cool unreleased track ft. Martin King.
Flyying Colours 'Running Late'
Dude - this track... I seriously cannot listen to it enough. The simultaneous male/female vocals, coupled with a beautiful song-structure and touching lyrics make this one of my favourite songs of the year.
Darts 'Westward Bound'
I’m a long time fan of Darts and their music. Their new album ‘Below Empty & Westward Bound’ is absolutely amazing. After seeing their new live show at their album launch earlier this year, I can’t wait to see them return to Paradise this year..
The Infants 'Only Forever'
I saw The Infants perform for the first time earlier this year and was instantly taken aback by their live show (and by the fact I hadn’t seen them before). This track has been stuck in my head ever since - it hits me very hard. It’s all about that solid bass and drum groove, closing guitar solo and the aggressively melancholy vocal line. Another top pick of mine for Paradise 2015.
MY DISCO '1991'
Absolutely stoked to have these guys on the Paradise lineup this year. This track is unbearably intense, with percussive stabs of raw sound in amongst eery nothingness. Seriously, MY DISCO’s new album ‘Severe’ is something else - highly recommend it.
Strict Face 'Into Stone'
A new one from Strict Face. Strict Face has a really unique producing style, incorporating really rich chord progressions, with very distinctively odd instrumentation and progressive drum beats. This track is a perfect example - really dig the detuned strings. Looking forward to getting very weird to his set in Clubland this year.
Paradise Music Festival will take place on November 27th, 28th and 29th at Lake Mountain Alpine Resort in Victoria. You can snap up the few remaining tickets here.
