Album Review: Slaves - Through Art We All Are Equals

StarStarStar

After a while it sounds like a wall is being built with the same bricks.

More Slaves (UK) Slaves (UK)

Jonny Craig has got his shit together.

As frontman for Slaves, Craig’s dynamic vocals are put to good use on their debut. Single The Fire Down Below is the perfect relaunch; those emotion-charged pipes that peak in the right places are a reminder just why no one wants this guy to backslide into chaos again. The band wraps itself around dreamy chugs ably in My Soul Is Empty And Full Of White Girls and The Hearts Of Our Young, but after a while it sounds like a wall is being built with the same bricks.
