".... At their boisterously sparring peak albeit with a dewy-eyed ripple of Aussie roughage."

More Screamfeeder More Screamfeeder

Cherished by those who regarded triple j's late '90s post-grunge frontline as too polished, Screamfeeder's brand of frothy storm-and-jangle happily sat on the sidelines and played the smaller stages.

It's a period nigh on perfectly replicated here. Opener Half Lies holds nothing back; an assault of guitars led by Tim Steward making noisy apology for the 15-year wait before handing over to Kellie Lloyd to command All Over It Again and the fab Shelter. The duality channels Pixies' Frank Black and Kim Deal at their boisterously sparring peak, albeit with a dewy-eyed ripple of Aussie roughage.
