"Guitarist/vocalist Alex Hwang sounds thoughtfully determined and especially Ben Gibbard-esque."

More Run River North More Run River North

LA sextet Run River North open their second album Drinking From A Salt Pond with the introspective Intro (Funeral) Parade and close it with the quiet Winter Wind.

Those two tracks provide the filler among the rest of the killer. Ferocious lead single Run Or Hide is a much more apt 'introduction' to the band and their impressive pace. This album falls into that rather generic pop-rock genre, but don't let that turn you off if you are a fan of Bastille, The Killers, or Death Cab For Cutie. On the light of touch David Robinson, guitarist/vocalist Alex Hwang sounds thoughtfully determined and especially Ben Gibbard-esque.
