Album Review: Rat Boy - Get Over It

Rat Boy, aka Jordan Cardy, spins tracks from techno to indie in a state of carefully controlled chaos.

The title track starts off sounding like a cheesy '80s show tune before Cardy shows off his impressive rap skills. Cash In Hand weds indie-rock with background trumpets, before things get sensual in Good Bye with electro keys, guitars and synths, and a few words - "seductive" - thrown in here and there by a female vocalist. Get Over It is a very strange EP, where nothing makes sense but everything sounds fun.
