A trio of indie meets country meets lady lovely sounds.
Norah Jones is the draw, although collaborators Sasha Dobson and Catherine Popper are also in fine form, combining originals by all three with covers of old and new schoolers, including highlight, Wilco’s Jesus Etc. Jones-penned single, Don’t Know What It Means, is short, simple country/folk, while Dobson’s Sex Degrees Of Separation is a standout slow and punny, three-part harmony-driven lament, but perhaps won’t universally please. The Crowell-via-Cash tune, Bull Rider, which also inspired the band name, sits particularly nicely with this simple sound combination.
