Earlier this year they released the self titled debut of AIR GOD & ØNN∆, a glitchy, experimental take on the traditional tropes dance music.
The Deep Scan crew are becoming stalwarts of Eora/Sydney's underground electronic scene. Pushing the most forward thinking sounds electronic in everything they do, whether their weekly show on Energy Groove Radio which has featured the likes of Rydeen, Morgan Huggins, Grasps_ and Ninajirachi, to now their label, Deep Scan Technologies. Earlier this year they released the self titled debut of AIR GOD & ØNN∆, a glitchy, experimental take on the traditional tropes of house and techno music. To support the release, they've recruited Eora local Jonny Reebok and Vancouver based Reesepushkin to deliver reimagined iterations of the already experimental release. They're releasing officially on the 20th of August and are premiering exclusively on Purple Sneakers below.
Jonny Reebok takes the reigns of the remix of AIR GOD's 'KILLIN THE MOOD'. Bloopy melodic keyboard lines shimmer behind a glitchy vocal sample, creating the perfect space for the below percussion. As the downtempo breakbeat drums enter the mix, the track flows into full force, one thats equal parts ominous yet calming and extremely listenable. The B-side sees Reesepushkin remix ØNN∆'s ACID CROSSING. With it, they keep the soulful and welcoming elements of the original, and combine it with their signature, trip-hop sound.
