The Melbourne boys that make up the eclectically heartfelt trio I'LLS are slowly unfolding and revealing their latest REMIX EP, featuring tunes from their recent release through cutting edge Aussie label YES PLEASE.
So far we've heard the first amazing remix from the package by NAYSAYER & GILSUN, but now local-Brisbane producer TINCTURE is stepping up to show his offering to the I'LLS remixes.
TINCTURE, a relatively new persona on the scene, has just released his debut EP in the last few months through the left-field boutique SILO ARTS label. Sporting moody sounds of dark melancholia, TINCTURE is seemingly Australia's answer to the likes of ACTRESS, or even BALAM ACAB.
Turning the I'LLS track 'Outright' into a vast and sombre tune, TINCTURE works his magic, bringing the tune into new unexplored territories of deep open spaces, exploring strange textures, synths and vocal manipulation.
TINCTURE's 'Outright' remix is an after-hours jam filled with subsonic ideas, images of street lights and stop signs amongst hazily fogged avenues come to mind with this tune.
With a few more remixes to come from the remix EP, including cuts from Rat & Co, Wabz, and Ktsche we're definitely excited to see what kind of re-imagined vibes we'll find next, thanks to the guys at YES PLEASE records.
