You'll definitely want to get your headphones and/or speakers ready for this one. Melbourne newcomer Cassettes For Kids is onto something big. Very big.
I was actually so surprised to find out that his single 'Making You Nice' is only his debut. Officially released back in September, the Melbourne producer has got such a cool brand of house that feels inspired by huge artists such as Golden Features, Disclosure and more.
It's got a driving bassline that pulses through the hook and tones itself down to maximise its feel. There's a warped bell-esque synth that finds its way to the forefront of the melody, but what stands out the most about this one is its ability to be seven minutes long, but to make you want to keep listening to it over and over again.
CFK has now announced that he's got a new video to accompany this one, and we've got the first taste of it.
Directed by Melbourne videographer Tim Green, he's collected a mountain of scenes from films that represent 'Making You Nice' to form a massive supercut of characters getting dolled up and being made nice.
And the best part, it evokes a game of 'Spot the Film', which was quite fun. Expect scenes from Dumb & Dumber, Crazy Stupid Love and more.
Join CKF on November 27 for his debut headline performance.
