More Paces More Paces

It's been a long time coming but the debut longplayer (literally, this is a very generous 13-track album) from Gold Coast electronic boffin Mike Perry is awash with 8-bit technicolour.

The massive roster of guest vocalists, including Kucka and Guy Sebastian (don't scoff, he does alright), is perhaps surprising but Vacation hardly comes across as overcrowded. Perry has picked his guests and metered their contributions brilliantly. It makes for a pumping house party, occasionally dipping a toe in to the R&B pool with perfectly executed tracks like 1993 (No Chill). I guess we're all headed to Paces' pad this weekend.
