"Combining '70s psychedelic soundscapes with blues, reggae and ska probably shouldn't work, but these boys make it seem effortless."

More Ocean Alley More Ocean Alley

Having paid their dues with some extensive touring, NSW six-piece Ocean Alley look to take things to the next level with this impressive little EP, In Purple

Combining '70s psychedelic soundscapes with blues, reggae and ska probably shouldn't work, but these boys make it seem effortless. Muddy Water is packed with expressive guitar lines over a laid-back groove while the band finds a harder edge on Those Daze. The blues gets a workout on Sleepwalking and while many of the tracks could do with being somewhat tighter, the future seems very bright indeed.
