"It's a celebration of what the Byron Bay and Sydney misfits do best — furious chugs, complex, melodic hooks and anthemic vocals."
Hardcore and metal fans rejoice — the collaboration between genre young guns In Hearts Wake and Northlane has dropped.
However brief the three-track EP may be, it's a celebration of what the Byron Bay and Sydney misfits do best — furious chugs, complex, melodic hooks and anthemic vocals. Respective frontmen Jake Taylor and Marcus Bridge each bring their brutal and razorsharp pipes to Refuge and Hologram, the former combining light and shade amid clean but sinister lines, the latter offering some truly soul-searing choruses and tidy breakdowns. The instrumental interlude in between is a sweet respite from the intensely likeable chaos that surrounds it.
