Emerging from the New South Wales surfside town of Yamba, young electronic duo Nocturnal Tapes mark the continuation of their sonic progress with the release of their debut EP, Visions IV.
The polished production, layered melodies and airy vocals stand out on the dancey Is It Too Late while Close My Eyes is a step forward in terms of experimentation.
While it's only a short burst, Visions IV is a teaser of a band moving in the right direction as they continue to evolve into their own sound. What it lacks in overall sharpness, it makes up for in potential.
