Australian music royalty Cut Copy return after nearly three years with a beautiful and eerily significant new single, 'Love Is All We Share'

Australian music royalty CUT COPY have returned today with a surprise new single titled 'Love Is All We Share'. It's been almost three years since we have heard from the electronic pioneers, and with today's release they've made that wait absolutely worth it.

Ambient in nature, 'Love Is All We Share' is a slow and steady sonic sprawl, and a masterclass in just how brilliant Cut Copy are on the tools. The production is smart in how beautiful it is from its sparse beginnings right through to its glorious final moments as it gradually builds along the way.

It's a track that would have us floored regardless of the circumstances in which its released, but its lyrics detailing yearning and longing for connection do hold an eerie significance given the times we find ourselves living in.

Dan Whitford of the band said of their new release, “Love Is All We Share” is a song we made using only a handful of sounds, hoping to create an intimate and unworldly atmosphere."

"It was written a year ago about the anxieties of imagined future times, as technology becomes more all-consuming. But in light of recent events the song took on an eerie significance. Now, with our immediate future uncertain and people the world over self isolating, “love” more than ever, feels like one of the best things we can share.”

This is the first we've heard from the band since their 2017 record, Haiku From Zero which marked their fifth full-length record. While it remains uncertain what else they might have in store for us in the months ahead, this latest single is a beautiful reminder not only to hold those who love us close, but of a band that continues to innovate and remain at the very top of their game.

'Love Is All We Share' is out now via Cutters Records.
