Live Review: Bicep share three new tracks as part of deluxe 'Isles' release

Belfast duo Bicep have released an expanded version of their stellar January album, 'Isles', and shared three new singles alongside the new release.

Hot on the heels of their January album, Isles, BICEP have doubled down with a newly minted digital deluxe edition to share with fans. The deluxe edition sees the duo expand the already stellar release, dropping three new tracks for us to dive into named "Siena" featuring Isles collaborator Clara La San, "Meli (I)" and "Light".

On 'Siena', Bicep said, "This track took many forms in the demo stage including much more melodic versions and multiple vocal directions. In the end, a much more restrained track felt best, letting Clara's vocals shine. We're both excited to develop this and explore the other versions in our live shows."

Clara La San also features on Isles tracks 'Saku' and 'X', making her a prominent feature in the record. Following this same evocative theme on the already released singles, Clara's stunning, honeyed voice floats sublimely atop the intricate, meticulous and innovative dance production provided by the Belfast duo. What is sure to be a highlight for whenever they can finally perform this record to audiences, 'Siena', as well as the melodic and hypnotic 'Meli (I)' and 'Light' only add further expansive depth to one of the year's most defining releases.

Bicep recently received two BRIT nominations for British Group and Breakthrough Artist last month, and saw Isles reach #2 on the UK Official Albums Chart. They've also got a slew of shows in the pipeline booked which we're sure they're eagerly anticipating, including a headline performance at Field Day, plus Parklife, Roskilde, Creamfields and MELT!, before three sold-out shows at London’s O2 Academy Brixton.
