Album Review: Metal Allegiance - Fallen Heroes

"A tribute to three of the biggest musical losses from recent months."

Taking inspiration from their recent Motorboat Cruise set, the short blast EP entitled Fallen Heroes is intended as a tribute to three of the biggest musical losses from recent months.

The style shifting covers work surprisingly well under some dazzling Mike Portnoy drum work with Mark Osegueda of Death Angel taking on Suffragette City, Arch Enemy's Alissa White-Gluz hitting Life In The Fast Lane and Mastodon's Troy Sanders delivering a standout and brutal vocal performance for the gravel-voiced Iron Fist. While the 12 minutes fire past quickly, the performances can't be faulted and would please all walks of metal fandom.
