Album Review: Melvins - Tres Cabrones

A great band, but complete idiots. What’s not to love?

More Melvins Melvins

It's Spanish for three bastards, and Melvins' 19th studio LP sees King Buzzo and Dale Crover team up with original drummer Mike Dillard, pushing Crover onto guitar and bass. It's typical heavy-rocking Melvins with bouts of sludge, experimentation, charging guitars and novelty songs. Yep, novelty, like Tie My Pecker To A Tree, You're In The Army Now and the highlight, 99 Bottles Of Beer, where mid-song they just start repeating beer over and over and over. They even forget to count down the rest of the bottles. A great band, but complete idiots. What's not to love?
