There’s some knowing winks among some well wrought tunes.

The title probably doesn't help when your name already sounds like a refrigerator setting. But it does allow any number of bad puns based around him being 'cool'. Despite his Texan origins, he mostly makes a kind of self-aware white-boy-soul that's often well beyond his tender years. White Lies and Nice And Slow cruise along on suitably slinky grooves, while Suspended Animation has some unexpected swing among tinkling noises perhaps sampled from a 1979 game of Pong. Then add some low-side Steely Dan keyboard lines and snark. There's some knowing winks among some well wrought tunes.
