"A huge voice that can belt out a soul track yet also caress a ballad."
This Canadian artist takes the blues and with his baritone voice turns Weightless into a well-rounded album. There’s a mix of soul, blues, folk and pop and Andersen getting into some great subjects. On Alberta’s Gold and The Fight he expresses his political opinions on mining and the environment respectively. Andersen has a huge voice that can belt out a soul track yet also caress a ballad. The title track wouldn’t be out of place on a Van Morrison album and My Last Day is as strong as any Gary Moore blues track.
