"Loose Threads proves maturity and punk aren’t always enemies."
It’s release #4 for these Tassie punkers and it finds them well settled in their own skin.
Perhaps it’s their rural surroundings, but there’s something satisfyingly earthy about Luca Brasi and their warm sound, which has never been more appropriate than on 41 Degrees. Not too many surprises here other than the reflective EP closer; Borders And Statelines rattles along with acoustic guitars and handclaps, demonstrating how their increasing attention to detailed song writing is reaping a bountiful harvest. Loose Threads proves maturity and punk aren’t always enemies.
