Simultaneously emotive and controlled vocals harmonise with cooing, melodious backing vocals in opener Grand. This immediately conveys the EP's broad target audience. While demonstrating touches of artistry, this outfit's rhythmic brand of ultra-contemporary indie-rock falls into an expansive category of current popular music. As such, they should be wary of disappearing among the masses. Spiced up with touches of broodiness, This Night Time and closer Raise The Crown recall The Kooks' more layered, evocative pop stylings. Though dated, this sound suits them well.  They play at Revolver Upstairs on 13 Dec.
