Flume has taken Yolanda Be Cool and Gurrumul's collaborative track 'A Baru In New York' and has turned it into one of his own.
You all should be familiar with YOLANDA BE COOL, the boys from Sweat It Out! have been busy pumping out new material and their latest offering ‘A Baru In New York’ is something to be marvelled at.
Not only have YOLANDA BE COOL created a lovely melody to this track, they’ve enlisted the help of legendary singer GURRUMUL to add in his own beautiful flavour to the track making it more amazing than first thought.
Our buddy FLUME has taken the reins on this particular version of the track and created a very relaxed sounding mix that also is dreamy and ghostly.

GURRUMUL's vocals echo through the track like a lost ghost and a faint drum beat eases in as ‘A Baru In New York’ plays. The mix that FLUME has put together has a very cool lead up to the synth break that breaks through towards the end of the track and in typical FLUME fashion, the synths ride along perfectly with the initial melody and mood of the track.
It’s always a joy to listen to various Australian musicians working together on a track, so with YOLANDA BE COOL and GURRUMUL’s partnership sounding oh so lovely in the original, FLUME has turned the dial up even further and put the cherry on top of the wonderful track.
