WASHED OUT (aka Earnest Greene), recently voted Georgia’s Dreamiest Electronic Musician (by me), has turned MY MORNING JACKET’s ‘Outta My System’ from a slow burn psychedelic stomper to a sparkling piece of err… slow burn psychedelia?
So he hasn’t changed it that much, but through the use of samples, a reverb laden vocal and that trademark misty synth, Greene has brought out the lighter side to this track and made it sound completely fresh.
The song is part of a recently released compilation, the Outta My System – Remixez Y Friendz EP, which also features remixes by TV ON THE RADIO’s Dave Sitek.
