Com Truise has remixed Tycho's track 'Awake' and given it a big cool down.

TYCHO and COM TRUISE have a wonderful family over at Ghostly International and with both artists admiring each others work, an in-house remix was bound to come out sometime.

TYCHO is a very talented producer and his single 'Awake' is one we've been listening too for a while now. Released in March, the track has a very smooth opening that resembles a slow sun rising as twangy guitars strum along. It raises itself into a very light piece with a delicate melody and velvety beat that just bounces in a perfect way.

There are some wonderful textures throughout that track and it really presents TYCHO's talent in a very tame way. 'Awake' became quite popular after it's release and now COM TRUISE has decided that the track needed a little bit more and has remixed it into something completely new.

Although you may hear pieces of the original track COM TRUISE's rework, the only solid piece from 'Awake' that the producer has kept is the core melody. The melody is recognisable but underneath a new series of sharp synths and twinkling samples, it has been transformed into shining stars rather than a burning sun. Listening to the remix you can feel the whole temperature of the track fall.

In TYCHO's original mix, you could feel the heat pumping through your speakers whereas TRUISE has added in a few darker effects, turing it into an icy temperature. The new track still flows just as well as the original, but with COM TRUISE behind it, the track was bound to flow well.

Both artists have an amazing amount of talent and their collaboration on 'Awake' shows how in sync these two can be. COM TRUISE will be heading down to Aus later on this year to play The Corner Hotel and hopefully this rework will drop in his live set.
