Mental health is a tricky thing to talk about. You'll never find one universal experience for depression, anxiety and the like, which makes it incredibly hard to vocalise your internal, sometimes destructive monologue. Couple that with the intense emotional, financial and whatever other types of stresses an industry as fickle as music invokes, and it would seem like you have a recipe for disaster. However, while people might be down, they don't have to be out and that's the important message TIMI TEMPLE aims to get across in his debut tune, 'What Are We Waiting For?'

Timothy Lockwood, after touring with Kilter and collaborating with the likes of Indian Summer, has made his debut as Timi Temple not a moment too soon. The track completely immerses the listener, much like the mental illnesses it addresses, but Timi Temple ensures that the track is cloaked in a glistening brightness to reiterate that there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Melting together the vividness of 60s/70s psychedelia with the intensity of modern electronica, Timi Temple has given a voice to those who often feel voiceless. While it's easier said than done, conquering fears is by no means impossible.

Of the track, Timi Temple says, "I wrote this song as a call to action for peers of mine suffering from depression and anxiety, something that is all too prevalent in our industry, to be brave and face their fears. It swings between uplifting guitar driven choruses to haunting howling pre choruses and soft wavering verses... I believe it's reflective of our lives as  creators, inclusive of all the ups and downs we go through."
