Live Review: Spazzkid ‘Goodbye (Moon Bounce Remix)’

Moon Bounce has taken on Spazzkid's 'Goodbye' for this colourful and playful remix.

There are some incredible artists doing some incredible things, particularly as of late. We’ve already hit 2015 off with a bang, and seen some huge releases.

Towards the end of 2014, we here at Purple Sneakers got our heads together to determine who we thought we should look out for in 2015. This has become an annual thing, and thus our Artists To Watch In 2015 was added to our series.

MOON BOUNCE was one of these artists we’re keen to look out for this year, and with a continual stream of gigantic sounds, he’s gone above and beyond already. His latest offering is in the form of a rather dubstep-esque sound, taking on another electronic experimentalist, SPAZZKID. He’s flipped and tampered with SPAZZKID’s ‘Goodbye’, an already bomb track.

There’s gorgeous tropical tones there with the steel-drum-like melody lacing playfully through the thick beat. The vocals act as more of a progressive line rather than a feature, and I think that’s what I like most about this. It’s a focus on the sounds and the techniques, and it comes off as quite skillful.

MOON BOUNCE has continually given us reasons to fall in love with his work over the course of 2015, and I must say, I’m more of a fan every time I hear his work.
