Believe it or not this was recorded in a bedroom. 18-year-old SHIVUM SHARMA has put together his track 'Flicker' completely in his own space from his London home.
A true song man, the entire demo sounds absolutely beautiful with carefully crafted lyrics and whispering harmonies that linger like ghosts. It's the mysterious aura that lingers within the soft piano and blissful harmonies that lock you into a place of wonderful music.
SHIVUM SHARMA himself has a range of influences. On his Soundcloud he lists: " APHEX TWIN, AMY WNEHOUSE, FEVER RAY, MINNIE RIPPERTON, ANNE BRIGGS, ERYKAH BADU, ANTONY & THE JOHNSONS, BJORK, ANDRE 3000 & LOW." So who will SHIVUM SHARMA be? Will he become one of those ethereal pop artists, or will he become a cool electronic underground name? Or will he just push on and keep on being the wonderfully unique artist that we see now?
He is one we must all watch as he slowly makes the transition out of the London scene and into the hearts of listeners across the globe.
