NYC producer SHIT ROBOT released a rad disco track earlier this year called 'We Got A Love'. It featured vocalist / comedian REGGIE WATTS and really is a wonderful track perfect for those times where you need to just dance your heart out.
The pair really worked well together producing a track that is just so damn catchy. REGGIE WATTS definitely owns the track with his fantastic vocals range. The man has a wonderful voice and if I could sing like that, I know I'd be doing it almost every day.
But of course since 'We Got A Love' was so fantastic, someone was bound to have a crack at a remix and PAUL WOOLFORD decided that he should be the man to do it. His adaptation turned the entire thing around and pointed it in a totally different direction. With the original being more of a disco track, the new remix has ventured into more house territory, bouncing various synths off REGGIE WATTS now chopped vocals.
It opens with an intro that is based mainly on clasping synths. You hear portions of REGGIE WATTS echoing throughout the introduction as the track slowly builds itself up before suddenly bursting into a deep piano riff. REGGIE is then in his full glory with more bursting synths, cymbal-eque claps and just a whole lot of party sounds.
PAUL WOOLFORD's remix sounds like it's pretty ready for your next rave, with everything it holds it will probably end up in a mixtape or two during the summer months.
