SAATSUMA have curbed our appetite for soothing electronic with an epic return to 2017 by releasing a track entitled ‘Isolate’. It’s vibrant and synth focused, and a SAATSUMA certified feel good track, slotting in perfectly with their astounding list of previous releases.
Being their first release this year, SAATSUMA masterminds Memphis Kelly and Cesar Rodrigues are giving us a taste of what’s to come as the track is released in light of their upcoming debut album. This one taste will send you into a aural wonderland with an extraordinary concoction of sounds, samples, synths and silky serenades. This home made SAATSUMA brew will sound like it was made just for you, as their overlaying vocals and gentle sample manipulations create a compelling proclamation of love- a gentle gesture of affection created with your personal desires in mind.
Sharing stages with OLYMPIA, DORSAL FINS, VERA BLUE and YEO and impressing local and international audiences around the world with ‘Storm’ and ‘Floating’, SAATSUMA don’t seem to take breaks on this fast paced roller coaster they’re currently riding. Making their success inevitably hit peak speed, ‘Isolate’ is a cushioned front seat into the depths of their artistry.

‘Isolate’ comes as a taunting anthem of how cruel self criticism can really be and how the urge to ‘Isolate’ yourself can only lead to further destruction, but this concept becomes ironic as the soundscape flips the underlying message of complacency to a powerfully uplifting melody.
They carefully intercept pauses with subtle flute samples, keeping the track whimsical all while the overlaying electronic gives it that foot-tapping-humming-for-hours effect, if having this song stuck in our head for hours is the worst of our troubles… then life ain't so bad.
