Melbourne neo-soul artist REYA returns today with her second single. Keeping in stead with her ethereal approach to songwriting, 'Wet Paint' throws together a dreamy ambient soundscape with crisp percussion and all the while blasting beautifully over the top, REYA's effortlessly guiding vocals.

Produced by Haxx of Kult Kyss, they've continued their musical relationship on for another single, and delivered something magical here.

With the subtle boom of the 808 flying underneath that pulsing kick drum, REYA's voice soars atop some lush electronic neo-soul chords that work to transcend soul conventions and take this one into thoughtful pop territory.

With an EP on the way, 'Wet Paint' marks a poignant step forward in REYA's musical journey; one of intense emotionality and thoughtfulness. The authenticity captured in her performance is a testament to both her and Haxx, a musical relationship that seems very fitting.

Of the track, REYA said “The song is about the bittersweet feeling of wanting someone or something you can’t completely have. The blur of emotions from thrilling to frustrating is intoxicating, and no matter how tired of the chase you get, you always want more.”

Look out for REYA's debut EP on the way soon.
