As if the day couldn’t get any bigger, it has. Aussie artists teaming up with other Aussies or taking on other Aussies seems to be the way it’s heading. It’s a cool trend, and I love the inkling of patriotism here.
PORSCHES, Sweat It Out! Music’s latest prodigees, exploded onto the scene with their debut single ‘Horses’. A little play on words there what with the rhyme and all, it was their sweet synths that emanate a true and intimate feel that made us fall for them.
They’re back with their take on THE PREATURE’s single ‘Is This How You Feel?’
I don’t know how they did it, but it’s not an entirely electronic element that they’ve added to it. It starts off with this absolutely gorgeous sample of a slowly strummed guitar-esque instrument. It adds a little bit of an oriental feel to it, but I think that’s more in the chord progressions than anything.
It still feels like THE PREATURES, however PORSCHES have heightened it to an extent. A gorgeous freefall of masterful sounds, colours and a tone that emanates a smoothness that not even the richest of sounds could have.
