Live Review: Poupon ft. Sam Moffatt ‘Fall Back'

In anticipated of the full release tomorrow, Poupon has released a radio edit for his single 'Fall Back' featuring the vocals of Sam Moffatt.

In anticipation of the full release tomorrow, POUPON has gone ahead and released the Radio Edit to his gorgeous forthcoming single ‘Fall Back’ to be out through Ultra Music. Featuring the vocals of the lovely SAM MOFFATT, it works well in elevating this track to great heights.

I think there’s a fine balance that needs to be created when incorporating a kind of “shared” vibe in a track. By that, I mean that it’s essential for the vocals and the instrumentals to bounce succinctly off of each other in order to sound whole.

‘Fall Back’ does just this, and it’s an essential balance. The disco-esque laced instrumentals work well in toning down when the vocals ramp up, and vice versa. I think the big winner for me here is the percussion. It drives the track, and in all of its disco glory, it really works well in setting the mood.

It is however, the instrumentals that have the last laugh and they progress in a dirty mess of percussion, bounce and bass.

POUPON & SAM MOFFATT have created something big here. It’s fine in its craftsmanship and extremely big in its delivery. I’m sure we’ll hear this on many dance-floors to come.
