This remix by THE HIGHWEIGHTS takes the song down tempo at the start, that allows PASSION PIT’s vocals to shine through. All of a sudden, keyboard and kick drums interrupt the lyrics in a furious beat that remains a recurring motif throughout the track.
Synth that feels like the wind breezes and weaves through the track, changing its tune but remaining the hero of the remix. The 7-minute song comes to a head at around the 5:30 minute mark with all of the elements listed above, colliding in an electro symphony. However, the highlight does come with the sampling of the original track’s schizophrenically upbeat synth work.
The Highweights remix of the single from Passion Pit - ‘Take A Walk’, is possibly the best song to get your joggers on to, and actually go for a walk (although don’t blame me if people begin staring once you start dancing in your active wear.)
