I wouldn’t say the remix is better than the original, but LITTLE DAYLIGHT’s remix of PASSION PIT’s ‘Constant Conversations’ turns a super chilled soul song into a dance track. It kind of makes you want to combat those Wednesday hump day blues and get up and boogie.
The mysterious US producer complements the original tune by framing the vocals and filling in the acoustic space with crisp synth and percussion. The remix begins with isolated vocals, then some tribal beats are added in before LITTLE DAYLIGHT creates his own sonic world with filtered, vibrating melodies.
The sense of nostalgia and fragility of the original ‘Constant Conversations’ isn’t so much as lost but distilled in the remix. It maintains the sensual summer vibe with peaceful harmonies and moody melodies. Some called the original whiteboy R&B/soul, this remix ramps up the groove and it’s an easy one to leave on repeat.
