Italian artist, Luca Gasperoni, has found solace in quite a lot of talented pursuits. Former aspiring pro-skater, he's gone on to achieve wins within the realms of still photography and cinematography. Ticking the musician box next to his name, he's since introduced the electronic project, OLIVANDER, in which he has gifted us his take on, 'Our Sun'; originally by Iceland's, Kura and featuring Zebra Katz on vocal duties.
A frizzy sample resuscitates, before eventually giving up entirely as it quietly fades into its expiration beneath the wet ripples of a stones throw; resounding their energies amongst the fuzz of ominous characters and a dabbling piano line.
Maintaining the original vocal structure, Olivander carefully places great emphasis upon both the female and male vocals present, whilst flooding the space with atmospheric electronica to send a deeper message through an abundance of textures for a song that already swims in a sombre body of water.

Severe in its despondency, 'Our Sun' relocates our mood to a shade of grey, yet is welcomed through its intelligent translation that somehow manages to console us in its anti-state.
Beautifully constructed with every hand-carved experiment, Olivander has successfully hand-built a charming masterpiece with his remix of Kura's, 'Our Sun', available now as a free digital download.
