Melbourne DJ and producer OK SURE has released a fresh new single, ‘Nightshade’, serving up the first taste off of her forthcoming second EP.

While her own releases are still fairly new on the scene, Ok Sure first began stitching tunes as a teenager after purchasing a Roland MC 505 and developing an affinity for 150bpm techno beats. Akaysha initially released a horde of other music under a different moniker before instituting her Ok Sure project, stemming the title as a blithe play on her own name.

Ok Sure has fashioned countless genre-bending remixes ever since and continuously refined her enigmatic casting of electronica, pop and trance influences, establishing herself a faithful following ahead of her debut EP release, Anamnesis, earlier this year.

This hypnotic new offering now comes hot on the heels of her recent rework of King IV’s ‘We Can Get It’ ft. Rromarin, and brings with it a spellbinding melange of dark and cavernous tones.

'Nightshade' leads in with pulsating synth lines, sizzling percussive textures and compelling electronic tones, billowing a swathe of inky timbres behind rich, gliding vocals. Proliferating layers of dynamic rhythms and vivid melodic arpeggiations incite an enrapturing sonic retrospective and gradually subsume us into the irresistible depths of mesmerising production.

This could well be Ok Sure's most approachable release so far, so were really can't wait to hear how her second EP unfurls over the coming months.
