It's no secret that we're fans of the forward thinking collective Sidechains. The Sydney based fam not only run a club night over at Kit & Kaboodle, they're also heavily involved within the label side of things, and they've got a new one to share with us today.
From Sydney native OH BOY, this slice of PC, holiday goodness is basically your Christmas present come a few days early.
'Call Baby' features inklings of trap sprinkled with video-game esque trills, but it's the combination of the bouncy beat and high-pitched samples that sit this one alongside heavyweights like Sophie.
I love the sound effect sampling in this one; shouts, dial tones and all things phone related. There's a glockenspiel that plays the melody towards the end too, and I think that rounds this one off perfectly.
Oh Boy's been playing clubs around Syd for a while now, including rave den Starfuckers and heaps more, but his solo stuff is really a refreshing breath of sonic goodness.
