Live Review: LISTEN: New Navy 'Regular Town’

The coconut, sea salt drenched croons of Sydney's NEW NAVY return with the brand new single ‘Regular Town’, and if you are wondering what is different about this sound, well credit that to the vocals of new frontman Luke O’Loughlin.

Summer sees the return of the Sydney-siders after a period of recording in the iconic REC Studios with producer Craig Willson. The new recording sessions are the first time we hear Luke O’Loughlin in the recorded form after joining  the band earlier in the year as touring front man Luke O’Loughlin after the departure of Ben McInerny.

Following up from the success of early tracks ‘Zimbabwe’ and ‘Tapioca’ Luke O’Loughlin and NEW NAVY have a lot to prove, but if 'Regular Town’ is any indication of what we can expect from the new recordings then they appear to be well on the way of surpassing their expectations.
