Today is a seriously good day. Not only do I have no uni classes today, but I also have stumbled across some amazing news. MOUNT KIMBIE have announced their new albums' release dates!

Yes, the follow up to the London duo's acclaimed debut, Crooks And Lovers, is due out May 27. It's called Cold Spring Fault Less Youth and it's being released by, in my eyes, pretty much the most taste-making label out there - Warp Records.

The record is a long time coming for the still reasonably young production team, to which they say that "releasing new material is long overdue, finally having this second album all wrapped up and ready to go is a fantastic feeling." To coincide with this announcement, the band have finally released the official audio of 'Made To Stray' - a track that was premiered on Rinse FM a couple of weeks ago.

The track takes MK down a slightly new road, as it's a much more up tempo and house driven - which could easily give a scare to fans of their Hotflush material, but luckily it keeps the underlying bass tendencies, heavy fuzz distortion and melancholic glitches they've been known for in the past.

Or it could be described by YouTube commenter, DahseOne:

I feel it more like: ''Hey, lets dance to this'', more than older songs. Some of the older ones were like: ''Oh I'm going to stay here, thinking on my past, and my feelings''.

In true Warp style, it's a very different type of electronica, and it makes perfect sense that the next stage of Mount Kimbie is to be as a part of their wonderful stables. Plus it makes us extremely excited for the May 27.

You can get Made To Stray' for free if you trade them your email address HERE (http://www.mountkimbie.com/). It's a steal in my eyes.

PS: The guys announced a heap of tour dates across the globe, as well as stating that they'll be heading our way for an "extensive Asia/Australasia Tour" soon. Purple Sneakers will have those details as soon as they emerge.
