Ahead of his Splendour In The Grass set this weekend, Moonbase has shared a free new EP of reworked hip-hop classics from Danny Brown, Q-Tip and more.

From launching his own imprint in Trench Records, to playing at SXSW and across Europe, going on a national tour and releasing a song with none other than Anderson .Paak, 2017 has been the year of MOONBASE. The heavy hitting producer has been bouncing around for a while now, but this year he's stepped up a few notches clearly, and he's still not done yet.

Having just wrapped up a couple of shows in Tasmania, Moonbase is now setting his sights on Splendour In The Grass for the second year in a row, and is set to tear the Mix Up Tent a new one on Sunday afternoon. This time last year, Moonbase was playing in between sets, and now he's got one to himself - not bad for 12 months on!

To get everyone nice and loose ahead of SplendourMoonbase has treated fans today with a new EP of edits of some of his favourite hip-hop tunes. From Danny Brown to 50 CentMethod Man to Waka Flocka and Q-TipMoonbase's eclectic taste is on display here, but twisted and turned inside out to make them heaters all over again. The EP is up for free download too, so jump on it now and catch him in action this Sunday at 1:30pm in the Mix-Up Tent!
