Mazde's new remix of Letmaitre's 'Playing To Lose' is a subtle emotional rollercoaster.
Just so you know, this song isn't actually bad. Don't let the headline fool you.
MAZDE is a very talented producer and his releases are always spot on. This remix of Lemaitre's track 'Playing To Lose' isn't any different so do yourself a favour and give this track a spin.
The original mix of 'Playing To Lose' is pretty great. The track becomes more emotional as explosive synths push the message forward. It's like Lemaitre has their hearts on their sleeve and are opening themselves up to you. It's a bit funky too, with a deep groove that the beat keeps solid and strong.

Mazde's remix strips back the boldness of the original mix and expresses the emotion in a more subdued way. The vocals are distorted and deep, and club synths have been added in to make it feel almost hollow. Whilst the original is vibrant and clear as day, the remix is darker and has a more subtle energy that you still feel compelled to move to.
If you haven't heard much of Mazde's music before, let this be your introduction to an artist who really knows how to transform a song by flipping it on its head and transforming its appearance into something more exciting than you could have imagined.
