Live Review: Marriage Proposal 'Nothing Personal'

'Nothing Personal' is the first single by Marriage Proposal off his second EP.

Lithuanian born MANTAS STONKUS has been hard at work. He’s been working on his incredible second EP. Titled ‘Nothing is United’, it was only very recently put out through BNR TRAX (a sub-branch of Boysnoize Records).

He makes huge beats under the moniker MARRIAGE PROPOSAL and he’s really made his sound into something of his own, particularly over the last year or so. The EP solidifies his keen eye for a massive bass line, clean beats and an even greater sense for how all of these sounds blend together.

The first single from the EP is titled ‘Nothing Personal’, and is utterly a slice of deep house heaven. It’s creamy, cloudy and silky smooth, but the lustre comes from the harmonious blend of the sounds.

Percussion wise, it’s packed full of concise beats, crisp hits and a smooth flow, which is in turn, essentially egged on by the deep synth and the warped melodic line.
