Live Review: Two unexpected remixes of London Topaz's 'Midnight' that will keep you up at night

Producers Piecey and Nutrition bring their own perspectives to London Topaz's track 'Midnight', resulting in two intriguing remixes of a new classic.

Melbourne producer LONDON TOPAZ has released two new remixes, courtesy of Piecey and Nutrition, of his song 'Midnight' that bring totally different perspectives to the catchy club track.

Sydney upstart Piecey takes full advantage of the beautiful vocals on the original track (thanks to Georgia Van Etten, an Aussie-born, London-based blues and soul singer) and transforms it into a sticky, foreboding house jam.

On the other hand, Nutrition's take is packed full of lasers and hard-hitting beats, an ode to late nights that turn into early mornings and losing yourself to the music.

The buzz around London Topaz has been building, with a set at Beyond The Valley and support performances for Crooked Colours, Running Touch and SOFI TUKKER as well as his own sold out shows all already under his belt. With his pared-back approach to dance music and collaborative work ethic, London Topaz is making all the right moves.

He plays Claptone's sold out Masquerade’ Melbourne show on the 25th of November.
