Logic1000 has become one of Australia's strongest underground club names. Her cult adored debut self titled EP featured dance anthems, 'DJ Logic Please Forgive Me' and 'Derrière'. It's from this platform she went from local underground superstar to global dance necessity, releasing her 2021 EP, 'You've Got The Whole Night To Go'. With it she ticked some of dance musics highest honours, from a feature mix for Mixmag, completing the Resident Advisor Podcast, a BBC Radio 1 Mix and back home hosting a Triple J Mixup Residency. Now, Logic1000 has turned back the club tones while staying true to her traditional house rhythms, releasing a laidback pair of singles, 'Safe In My Arms' and 'YourLove'.
Continuing to showcase her diversity as a producer, the pair of tracks utilise a deep driving percussive energy. Fundamental features of Loigc1000 production are also showcased, with vocal samples weaving subtly in between the spacey ambience of the mix in each track, a quiet yet gorgeous ode to her previous music. The double a side fits perfectly within a period of reflection, trading the setting of a late night club for an intimate sun rise or late afternoon.
Speaking of the tracks Logic1000 says, "When I started working on this record, I had initially planned to make something slamming - some peak time summer anthems. But through the process of making them, I found a different side of my production -the tracks ended up a lot deeper than I intended, and I'm happy for it. They give me the feeling of warmth and nostalgia. This is a mood I was excited to land on, and I'm looking forward to exploring it further. This is house music for the morning. Not the morning at the end of the night, but the morning at the start of the day. Safe In my Arms feels like it's waking up, and YourLove takes that energy and runs with it."
