Live Review: Little Dragon 'Nabuma Rubberband' (AIMES Rework)

Psychedelic, spacey music maker AIMES works his magic on Little Dragon's 'Nabuma Rubberband' track from their 2014 album of the same name

‘Nabuma Rubberband’, from Swedish electro-pop legends LITTLE DRAGON’s album of the same name has recently undergone some re-working by Brooklyn producer, AIMES.

The re-work has kept true to the musical styling of AIMES, who is well known on the scene for his spacey, gentle pop sounds, always complete with the perfect amounts of synth.

The track keeps a down tempo, dancey consistency throughout which makes for some very easy listening. The hazy disco beats are balanced with the drowned out vocal loops of the original, and help to keep the track equal parts interesting and smooth. You don’t have to work too hard with this one, and seriously, who likes working hard anyway?

AIMES has put his track up for free download over on Soundcloud, so there's no excuse not to check it out and see what else he's been up to.
