We have been teased for months by Norwegian producer LIDO with remixes of tunes by CASHMERE CAT, DISCLOSURE and plenty more, but he has finally come through with the goods. LIDO's four track EP 'I Love You' has been released through Pelican Fly, and so it seems, patience is virtue, because this was worth the wait.
The EP runs just under 18 minutes, and is a musical smorgasbord fit for a King. 'I Love You' goes between the upbeat trap-electro sounds of the first track, complete with dreamy synths and funky baselines to the heavily hip-hop influenced closing track 'Lost' which features MURI on the vocals.
Track number three 'Money' has also garnered the young artist plenty of attention in recent times, with an infectious beat and chill-trap qualities that make it the stand-out from the EP. Whether listened to as one continuous piece, or separately, 'I Love You' displays the versatility of LIDO's sound, again proving that sticking to one genre is most definitely a thing of the past.
