LANKS has been making some pretty significant musical tracks (punny) about the place of late. His latest piece of musical wonder comes in the form of the track ‘Golden Age’.

LANKS has been making some pretty significant musical tracks (punny) about the place of late. His latest piece of musical wonder comes in the form of the track ‘Golden Age’.

‘Golden Age’ is produced by Grammy nominated Andrei Eremin, who is known for his work with Hiatus Kaiyote and Ta-Ku. Arguably however, the best part of this track is its artwork. It comes from Lanks ‘ 86-year-old Grandmother, Val Cuming. You can tell Lanks (Will Cuming) gets his creative talent from this legend.

Lanks is not only a producer, but also a musician, versed in the ways of many an instrument. He also has a pretty dreamy voice with a decent vocal range, allowing him to transform the song from something unusual to something musical, and back again through lyrics, percussion, strings, and some other things.

These other things include intricate plucking of guitar strings, distortion and layering on that lovely voice, and some pretty late night sounding piano chords. All in all ‘Golden Age’ pretty much sums up the idea that a golden age can in fact, exist.

Lanks is hitting up the East Coast of Australia on a tour pretty soon, you can organise your tickets via his webpage.
