Kilter has released a new single and all young producers have the chance to remix it through a very fun remix competition.

KILTER, the name you've probably been seeing everywhere recently. For the Sydney producer also known as Ned East, 2014 has been huge and even though we are only in the fourth month, KILTER has done so much and isn't stopping yet.

Las year we saw KILTER release his debut single 'Hold Me' and a series of remixes that caught everyone's attention online including a remix of the now separated SNAKADAKTAL.

This year KILTER has been on a series of tours, some his own, others in support of fellow producers and bands including THE KITE STRING TANGLE and ART VS SCIENCE. After all of this touring, one might wonder where he found time to record his newest single 'They Say'.

Being a very upbeat new track, 'They Say' thrives on the speedy percussion that KILTER provides. if you have seen the producer live before, you'd know that he spends a lot of time of his percussion pads and he's definitely knows what he's doing. KILTER has created a very fast pace for 'They Say' and with the added extras of high pitched and slightly distorted vocals, and a series of quieter strings where the synths slide freely, 'They Say' is a very vibrant new track from KILTER.

'They Say' will be featured on KILTER's new Shades EP which will be released through ETCETC sometime in the near future. But there is still more, you have the chance to remix KILTER's latest release through a new remix competition. The Track Sift remix competition is co-presented by Stoney Roads and The Australian Institute Of Music (AIM).

The competition gives upcoming producers the chance to win  a $250 Zanrobe voucher, a mastering session at the famous Studio 301 as well as their very own release on ETCETC. Enter if you feel you've got the right stuff and maybe soon you'll be featured here on Purple Sneakers alongside KILTER. You can enter the competition here.
