Live Review: Jessie Ware 'Tough Love'

Electro-soul songstress Jessie Ware shares this broodingly beautiful tune, 'Tough Love', taken from her forthcoming album set for release later in the year.

Down-tempo and hauntingly beautiful, 'Tough Love' is the first taste of JESSIE WARE's awaited sophomore album set for release later in the year.

This will be the follow up to her 2012 debut album, Devotion, which not only showcased the UK electro-soul artist's talent but also shot her into global acclaim, with singles 'Wildest Moment' and 'If You're Never Gonna Move' being her chart-toppers.

Latest single 'Tough Love' features Ware singing on a noticeably higher octave than her previous works, which only accentuates this track's whispery quality, like a hushed secret passed between confidants or lovers as she effortlessly sighs out her phrases.

Whilst her evocative vocals prove to be the driving-force throughout the song, it's the tune's muted bass and scattering of synths that swell and dissipate into such a dense and brooding  experience. It's a stunning piece of music that only causes further intrigue with what's to come next from the songstress.
